Coils to Locs was born from a personal need—but it's grown into something much bigger.

In 2015, founder Dianne Austin was navigating breast cancer treatment and searching for a wig that looked like her natural, tightly coiled hair. Her sister Pamela had experienced traction alopecia. Together, they discovered a frustrating gap: quality wigs for textured hair were hard to find, especially through insurance. They founded Coils to Locs in 2019 to change that.

But here's what we've learned since: the need for beautiful, authentic wigs goes far beyond medical hair loss.

Today, we design premium synthetic wigs for all women with textured hair—whether you're protecting your natural hair, experimenting with new styles, making a fashion statement, or navigating hair thinning or loss. Our coily and curly styles honor the full spectrum of natural textures, from loose curls to tight kinks, braids, and locs.
